Imagination is Your Superpower

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”
Albert Einstein

That quote by Albert Einstein merits more than a passing thought. It merits deep reflection One of the greatest gifts in all of humanity is our ability to imagine. Many believe it is the most important aspect of our existence since it is the genesis for everything we create. Every automobile, every computer, every piece of clothing or magnificent work of art started off with someone imagining something. That is seeing something in the mind before it manifests into existence. Even when something happened to be created by accident, it first began as a thought.
I was teaching a class this past weekend and, in an effort, to highlight our ability and unique existence as humans I made the following point. Even the most intelligent animals in the animal kingdom, such as dolphins, monkeys, and elephants cannot build or create like humans. A monkey will never be able to build a skyscraper or build a ship and transport food and medical supplies to the other side of the planet in an effort to assist other monkeys. Yet we do these activities regularly. We are creative beings made in the image of our creator.
Are you aware there are currently six spacecraft operating on the planet Mars? One of them, the Perseverance has its own helicopter named the Ingenuity. A helicopter! On Mars! Mars is 33.9 million miles away.
Consider as humans we have the ability to communicate with words like no other life form. But not just communicate; we can create new words instantly and even mid conversation change the meaning of the word we just created while comprehending the new translation. This goes without even mentioning our ability to read and write.
If you are reading this blog congratulations on being part of the human race. Your ability to imagine is limitless. Imagination is your superpower. Be nice to your fellow humans and use your superpowers for good
